This photo is from central Iceland - a land left barren from regular volcanic eruptions. NASA thought it so resembled a moonscape that the Apollo 11 astronauts trained around here before their famous moon landing. At least there are signs to avoid being lost! Iceland is also a stunning country full of natural travel wonders such as waterfalls, glaciers, lakes and strange rock formations from the geological activity.

Iceland? Oh my, I always thought Iceland is covered with ice! This piece of land is so rocky to me. Wow, so this part of the world resembles a moonscape yeah? =)
Hi,
The pictures are simply enchanting. Thanks for the pic.
@eunice: Iceland is anything but snow - volcanic fields and rich green areas from lots of water and rain. It is like God's weather laboratory.
@akum: Thank you.
good photo. I remember a story, some time back in our village, outsiders was coming as tourists... if they ask way to a particular place, some of our villagers will tell them to go straight, turn left walk little and turn left again then walk a little agin turn left and walk. finally, the tourist will reach where the place he stand before to ask the villager about the place. One change, the guide will not be there at that time...
This boards are best to remember such laughing moments...
