Nice pictures. I have been there last October. Its a complex of 16 lakes with mesmerizing waterfalls and deep forest. The place is delighted with the incredible beauty, sparkling clean water,and amazing waterfalls worth seeing. we spent entire day in the park exploring the beautiful places and taking pictures.

@jasper: the walking path heads up for a view over the Lower Lakes, so no need for helicopters or anything like that...

@eunice: Croatia is most beautiful and I only saw a small sample in the west. Dubrovnik is meant to be very special. Also I believe that the civil war started in Plitvice because of a key road that ran near or through the park - nothing to do with the park itself.
